Our Story
Founded in 2018, Apex Medical Transport began with a commitment to fill a critical need in the community-dependable, patient-focused transportation for individuals who require more than just a ride.
Starting in Oneida and Herkimer Counties, Apex quickly built a reputation for professionalism, safety, and reliability. Through strong partnerships with healthcare facilities and a dedication to exceptional service, we have continued to grow and evolve.
As we expand into surrounding counties, our mission remains the same: to improve access to healthcare by providing transportation services that patients, families, and facilities can trust.

Our Founder
Daniel Ayers, President & CEO, founded Apex Medical Transport with a deep understanding of the industry and a genuine passion for helping others. Before launching the company, Dan worked as an ambulette driver, where he gained firsthand experience caring for individuals who depend on safe and reliable transportation.
Driven by that experience, Dan built Apex from the ground up-starting as the very first driver on his roster-and has taken pride in delivering high-quality service to customers in need of handicap-accessible transportation ever since.
Dan was raised in New Hartford, New York, surrounded by a strong support system including his parents, aunt, and brother. He is a husband, father, and veteran, and brings those values of discipline, responsibility, and care into the foundation of Apex.
Today, Apex continues to operate as a family-driven organization. Dan's daughter and son-in-law play an active role in the company's daily operations, helping to carry forward the mission and values that Apex was built on.
